Harold Hayes Obituary

Harold Hayes. On October 7, 2009 at 1:55pm, Harold left our home in LaGrange to enter his eternal home in Heaven. Harold was born July 7th, 1930. His parents were Forrest and Carrie (Davis) Hayes. He spent his childhood years in Bonnie, Illinois. He married Roberta (Friar) on August 4th, 1951. They moved to LaGrange in 1955 and he worked at Electro-Motive Division until he retired in 1985. Harold was a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church and spent many years serving his Lord and Saviour as a Deacon in the church. He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta; his daughter Robyn Hayes and her fiancee Charles Pennington; precious grandsons Dylan and Eythan Pencakowski; niece Janet and her husband Charles Wells and their family; sister-in-law Alberta LaGrone and her children Randy and Rick Casey, Tammy Rehbock, Tiffany Watts and their families; his dear friends Ed and Mary Fadziejewski and Joe Wierschem; along with many more friends and relatives and his little dog Skydels. Waiting to meet him in Heaven is his only son DeWayne Hayes and loving daughter Karyn Hayes; his parents; brothers Floyd and Clyde Hayes; his father and mother-in-law, Jack and Goldie Friar and many friends and relatives. Harold was a wonderful son, brother, husband, dad, grandpa, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. He always tried to be there when help was needed with a quiet word or hold someone's hand. Harold we love you and miss you forever until one day we will see your shining eyes and hear your quiet voice as you greet us one by one when we meet again in Heaven. What joy twill be to hear him say, Rejoice my child, well done. You've fought the battle here on earth. The victors crown you've won.
