Gwendolyn Christensen Obituary

Gwendolyn Mabel Christensen of Glen Ellyn, IL passed away in peace Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Manor Care Healthcare in Westmont, IL. She was 95. She was the widow of Arne Christensen and mother of John and Gail. Mabel was a skilled artist and pianist; and a beloved teacher for many years in the Medinah school system. The Christensens were active for many years at First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by her brother Bruce Craig of Centennial, CO; her son John, who is a retired physicist; her grandson Jeffery Schabilion of Irvine CA; her granddaughter Amy Nitsche of Sugar Grove IL, and 7 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn, IL on Saturday, April 9th at 11am with memorial visitation from 9am till time of service.
