I only had the privilege of getting to know Guy during the past 4 years through the band at Elmhurst College. Because of his rich musical past here in the Chicago area, Guy remembered my late father-in-law, a musician who was killed in a car accident many years ago coming home from a gig. Guy was an inspiration to me. At his age, he could easily have decided to retire from the bands, but he kept playing and played well. He was a great role model for the students - he rarely missed a rehearsal, worked hard, and displayed a passion for music. Guy will be missed.

Guy was a perfectionist in everything he did. His work as a machanist, his love of playing with a band--doing repairs around the family home and his Plymouth car. His daughters, Sandra & Bonny meant the world to Guy, his love for them was very evident by how stern he could be with them. They should and could be the very best they could be! A very great pleasure to have known Guy for a half century!
