Greg, he misses you,
a best friend, a soul mate,
still hard to understand,
the cruel twists and turns of fate.

You lived so close by,
you built together your past,
you both were happy riding bikes,
of a friendship that would last.

Now you've been gone,
coming up to just one year,
there is not a day goes by,
when He can't see you standing here.

But some things in life
are rotten and just unfair,
because if they weren't,
you would be standing there.

You both were just right together,
like all of the best teams,
a friendship built on trust,
hope, excitement and your dreams.

But life doesn't last forever,
sometimes its cut way too short,
try adding up the logic,
sometimes it'll come to naught.

But everything for a reason,
even though its not that clear,
but your spirit is within him,
you will always be near.

And so life must go on,
just like it has done before,
just know you'll always be with him,
yesterday, now and for evermore.

To Greg's Dad, Kim and Dana,
I knew the young and funny Greg, when he and my son Jeff were too young to drive to their favorite thing to do on Sunday, motocross races.
So I spent many Sundays driving them to Byron or Effingham. Had many laughs with Greg and will remember him always.
He grew to be a man but never lost his enthusiasm for bikes....how ironic that it's how he lost his life, how sad.
May he rest in peace.

i am speechless and sad. greg spent quite a bit of time emailing me when i was injured back in 2006. he brightened my day when i was stuck on the couch. we had all these funny jokes about the power of vicodin...and he continued to stay in touch through the years occasionally, was so excited about getting himself a trackbike.

i am thankful to have gotten to "know" him a bit, hope his family strength through this, and wish greg no more pain and lots of fast bikes wherever he is.

rest in peace, greg.

sadly,
D

Dana,
I'm so sorry to hear about my friend Greg. For many years we would ride together at the Buell Homecoming and various track days. I could always count on a smile and a strong hand shake. Include a few motorcycle stories and off we'd ride.
Seems on the Crud runs Greg, Brian and my son Matt would take off and just ride... what a pleasure he was to us all.
I Will miss him.

You and I finally met at the last homecoming, just to remind you I was the guy on the black harley!
Please take care of yourself and if you'd like please join us at any of the events!

I met Greg this past year at Homecoming. He was a stand up guy. My condolences are with you and the family.
Riding with rear pegs down, until we ride again! Godspeed Greg.

Dana and Greg's family,
Please know that you and Greg are in my prayers this evening. Greg joined our BRAG group a few years back and immediately fit in. I can remember my comment the first time I saw him, " Hey, whose the guy with the smile as big as his arms". He will be sorely missed. A great guy.

I am sorry for your loss. I went to LTHS (79) with Greg and hung out with him way back then. Lost touch over the years, but never forgot the good times we had. Unfortunately, the last time I saw him was when our other dear friend, Don Norman passed away. Too many lives lost at too young an age. He will be missed but never forgotten!!!
