Grant Harmon Obituary

Grant J. Harmon
Grant J. Harmon, 77, of Sunnyview Home, died Saturday.
Born Aug. 6, 1929, in Berlin, Pa., he was the son of Grant E. and Bessie Fritz Harmon.
Mr. Harmon was a Navy veteran and he retired as a truck driver with 3CCC Motor Express after 26 years of service. He was a member of Butler Assembly of God, Teamsters Union 538 and Zelienople Sportsman Club.
Mr. Harmon enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Smith Harmon, whom he married Jan. 29, 1951; three daughters, Barbara Christy and her husband, Dale, of Parkersburg, W.Va., Susan Cotten and her husband, Rick, of West Sunbury, and Peggy Lawrence and her husband, Charles, of New Castle; three sons, David Harmon and his wife, Bonnie, of Harmony, Grant "Butch" Harmon and his wife, Lisa, of Butler, Gary Harmon and his wife, Stacie, of NewCastle; four brothers, Jake, Joseph, Tony and Larry Harmon, all of Somerset County; two sisters, Betty Bruck and Linda Smith, both of Somerset County. Also survived by 23 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Harmon; two daughters, Rosemarie Harmon and Dianne Hauserman and her husband, Frank Hauserman; and a granddaughter, Tabitha VanDyke.
HARMON - There will be no visitation for Grant J. Harmon, who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006.
Funeral services will be private.
Arrangements are entrusted to Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Zelienople.
