Grace Radtke Obituary

Grace H. Radtke, nee Koenig, age 92 found peace July 27, 2010. Grace was the beloved wife for 64 years to the late Charles F. Radtke; loving mother of Carol Engel, Alan (Kathy) Radtke and the late Warren Radtke; proud grandmother of Karen (Christopher) Duffin, Eric, and Corey Radtke; honored great-grandmother of Isabela Grace Duffin; dear sister of the late Esther, Walter, Louis, Dorothy and Viola; fond sister-in-law of Walter (Betty) Radtke and the late Herbert (the late Bernice) Radtke. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Grace was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She loved and served her Lord and was very active in the Helping Hands, Paper Rollers and Couples Club at the church. Grace and her late husband Charles were one of the first residents of the Lexington Square Retirement Center in Elmhurst. She truly loved living there. Earlier in her life she was in Intercept Operator for Illinois Bell, and also worked at Reichardt Cleaners and Robertson & Ruth Catologue Store (located on Lake St. in Elmhurst). Visitation at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary 435 N. York Rd., Elmhurst (3 blks North of North Avenue) on Friday, July 30th, from 3 to 9 p.m. Laying in state Saturday, July 31, from 9 a.m. until time of service 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church Third and Michigan Sts.
