Gloria J. Sellers, 78, of Morris, formerly of Marseilles, passed away March 2 in Joliet.
Gloria was born October 9, 1943 in Chicago to Frank and Dorothy (Smith) Stack. She married Edward C. "Eddie" Sellers on Feb. 14, 1993, in Oak Park. She was engaged to William "Bill" Sodemann of Palmyra, WI.
Gloria worked as a registered nurse for almost fifty years. She enjoyed reading, shopping and travel, and loved dogs.
Gloria is survived by her loving fiancé, Bill; son Kenneth (Kelly); daughter, Kristen (Steven) and stepson Edward (Jacquelyn); brothers Paul (Nea), Roger and Charles (Virginia); grandchildren Anthony (Ariel), Jessica (Dan), Emmett, Miranda and Sadie; great grandchild Melody and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eddie and her parents.
Memorials may be given in her memory to the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles, middleeastconflictswall.org/donate. Gloria's father was a Naval officer, and Eddie's father was killed in action during World War II in 1945.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

I was Gloria's caregiver and I still think of her often her friendship was a blessing in my life and I pray her family is well & Bill are all well.

We rode on the train to downtown Chicago for years. She was so kind, so gentle, and funny. She and my husband shared the same birthday and Gloria never forgot to call and then they'd wish each other a happy birthday.

I only knew Gloria for about a year we lived in the same apartment building. She was such a caring sweet lady. I will miss her sweet smile, her humor and our visits. Everyone here that knew her was very fond of her. Sincerely, Linda Simon

I only new Gloria for less than 1 year. She lived in my apartment building in Morris but we grew to by such good friends. She was such a dear sweet lady. I will miss her smile, our many visits and our good times together. Sincerely, Linda Simon
