Gladys Thiele Obituary

Gladys N. Thiele, 99, a 70-year Glen Ellyn resident, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Arlington Heights. Gladys was born January 9, 1909 in Chicago, IL. She was a secretary for Firemen's Fund in Chicago. She was a life long member of Grace Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for 35 years and was an active member of The Dorcus Guild. Gladys was a life long Cubs fan. Surviving are her children, Shirley (Daniel) Konczyk of Arlington Heights and Leonard (Donna Biere) of Lombard. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 11, 2008 from 3-7 p.m. at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn. Funeral Services Monday, May 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Glen Ellyn, with the Rev. Robin Currie officiating. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.
