Gladys Story Obituary

Like birthdays, memorial dates are milestones in our lives. Aunt Gladys was a first-rate LADY, always staying in touch with her notes. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts that will never be completely mended, and she is remembered with Love and Respect!

Its been said: "There is only one entrance to life, but many exits. Some are hard. Some are easy." You set a wonderful example for all of us in how to live our lives. We love you and miss you!

I will always have you in my heart and my memories. I cherish the letters we wrote eachother you from the time I was a little girl. I love you Grandma.

I saved every single letter you wrote me and am anxious to share them with your great-great-granddaughter when she is old enough to appreciate how wonderful and witty you were. I'm glad to have known you, Great Grandma, and will miss you.

The following words were read at the memorial service on 3/28/11 by Jack Gasparac [husband of Gail] This was as per Gladys's wishes
TO THOSE I LOVE AND TO THOSE WHO LOVE ME "When I am gone, release me, let me go- I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess How much you gave me in happiness, I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled alone. So grieve a while for me if you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust, It's only for awhile that we must part, so bless the memories in your heart, I won't be far away, for life goes on, so if you need me, call and I will come, though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near- and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all of my love around you soft and clear, and then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile, and "welcome home"
Before Mom would hang up on a phone call to our house she would say "And that's my STORY, and I'am sticking to it". I will be forever GREATFULL to have had the pleasure to share many great moments with you MOM, Birthdays, Holidays, Weddings, [Yes there were lots of those], or just sitting on our deck haveing lunch with you, to name a few.Thanks be to God that you were in my life.
