Gertrude Curley Obituary

CURLEY, GERTRUDE A. Long time San Diego resident, Gertrude A. Curley entered into Eternal Rest at the age of 94, as a result of natural causes, on March 31. 2003. Ms. Curley was born, on April 30, 1908, in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to San Diego with her family in 1924. After moving to San Diego, she worked with her brothers Walter and Charles Curley who owned Curley ' s Market located on El Cajon Blvd. for more than 30 years. Gertrude Curley was a faithful parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Parish in San Diego. Giving her time and energies to the many charities associated with her faith. Gertrude is survived by her beloved family members: Sue Curley, Patricia J. Mallinger, her family members, and the Thomas J. Curley family members. Visitation will be held at Goodbody Mortuary on Wednesday April 2, 2003, at 3 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 6 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at her beloved Blessed Sacrament Church on Thursday at noon, with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery where she will join her family in Eternal Rest.
