Died: Oct. 16, 2014
Gerald "Jerry" Budyn, age 59, of Westmont, IL, born in Hinsdale on January 29, 1955, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, October 16, 2014.
Jerry was the Beloved Brother of Patrick (Dinah) Budyn, Dorothy (Thomas) Nowik, and Gloria (Bill) Meyer; Cherished uncle of six; and fond great-uncle of twelve. He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Stanley Budyn.
Jerry was a graduate of Downers Grove North and had an Associate in Arts Degree from COD. He was a hard-working, kind, and loving person and will be truly missed.
Memorial Visitation Thursday, October 23, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toon Funeral Home, 109 N. Cass Ave. Westmont, IL.

We lived on Adams Street in Westmont and Jerry was a friend [mostly] to my brother, David. He always said he wanted to be a cop. Did his dream come true?
I remember him as a nice guy. I'm sorry to see he died so young.
I will be praying for all those whose hearts are breaking because he is now gone.

Jerry was a funny and kind person. Everyone I have told of his passing, has told me how kind he was to them. We had such fun times in high school. He will be truly missed.
