I was their babysitter from 1963 to 1968. My first job...$.50 an hour. But it was so much more. I helped at birthday parties and they came to visit me for the weekend at Ill State. They treated me like family. Mrs. Burlingham modeled patience, happiness and comcern. Wonderful qualities for a mother. Because of her I was a better mother and overall person. What a delightful woman!
