George Wittenkeller Obituary

George Wittenkeller, formerly of Hinsdale, IL passed away November 20, 2012, at Hearthside Cordial Care, in Sister Bay, WI, at the age of 103. He was born September 19, 1909 to Mollie Schwaub and George Wittenkeller in Lemont, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice,; his son, Roger; two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by one brother, Ray, of Townsend, WI; two sons, Gerry of Woodridge, IL, and Allen (Judy) of Fish Creek, WI; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. George's rich and full 103 years spanned working the fields of the family farm with a mule-drawn plow to seeing a man land on the moon and more. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Hearthside and Woodview at the Scand for the excellent care he received during his stay in Sister Bay. A private memorial service will be held.
