George Michelson Obituary

George Kenneth Michelson, age 97, former resident of West Chicago, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011. George was born on February 23, 1914 in Batavia, Illinois to Martin and Anna Michelson. He served in the US Army during WWII. George was united in marriage on March 28, 1948 to Kitty Steven. He worked for many years at Northern Illinois Gas Company where he retired from in 1976. George was also a member of the Vaasa Lodge in Batavia. George is survived by one son, Bliss Michelson of Trenton, NJ and one daughter, Martha (late Harold) Wilson of Wheaton; two grandchildren, Jesse and Amy Wilson; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kitty in 1991. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago.
