George Manidok Obituary

George J. Manidok, 82, of Geneseo, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Hammond-Henry Hospital Skilled Care Unit, Geneseo. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 5 at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, IL. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be left to the Geneseo Art League. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo. George was born April 30, 1927 in Chicago, IL the son of John and Stella Manidok. He was a graduate of Chicago schools and the Art Institute of Chicago. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. George was united in marriage to Lottie R. Mikrut October 13, 1957 in Chicago; she preceded him in death September 21, 2009. He was a professional artist working for several Chicago companies as a motion display designer. Survivors include a daughter and spouse Renee and Kirk Ketelsen, Geneseo; a son and spouse Brian and Cheryl Manidok, Royal Oak, MI; four grandchildren Emily, Evan, Eric, and Jenna.
