Gayle Bolyard Obituary
CROOKSVILLE: Gayle Marie Bolyard, 75, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 6:30 AM, Thursday, Janaury 12, 2012 at Highland Oaks Health Center, McConnelsville following an extended illness.
Gayle was born February 12, 1936 in Glouster, the daughter of the late Dale and Ora Van Horn Mingus.
Mrs. Bolyard retired after 32 years as secretary and aide at Morgan County Schools. She was a member of Portersville United Methodist Church.
Gayle is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry Bolyard; her sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Kimberly Bolyard of Crooksville and Douglas and Jacqueline Bolyard of Corning; her sisters, Elma and Bob Downs of Chesterhill and Doris and Jacob Downs of Somerset; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard 'Buck' and Janice Mingus of Crooksville; grandchildren, Ashley and Clint Adkins, Zach and Whitney Bolyard, Colton and Darby Bolyard, Allison and Nicholas Bolyard; great granddaughter, Zooey Gayle Bolyard and another great grandbaby arriving in March.
Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Monday, January 16, 2012 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Gayle's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 17 at the funeral home with Pastor Mary Perani officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Portersville.
Contributions may be made in Gayle's memory to the Morgan County United Ministries Food Pantry, P.O. Box 303, McConnelsville, Ohio 43756.

Gayle was truly a wonderful lady. She cared so much about her family and her community. I will always fondly remember her as "Grandma Grapefruit" because of her beautiful red hair. I wish for comfort and healing for all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of Gayle's passing. I remember being in her home
as a guest with Doris. Also, when she and my sister, Carolyn Thomas
were together. I remember everyone called her "Red". She was indeed
a delightful person. I will always cherish those memories of times spent
