Gary Muhs, age 70, was the beloved partner of Linda Burke for 33 years. He was the cherished father of Cody (Sarah) and Jesse (Tina). Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Mary Ellen (nee Williams) and brother, Wayne Muhs. Gary was the beloved grandfather of Luca, Owen, Cameron, Cole and Meadow Muhs. Gary retired from Rexnord in December 2022 after 48 years of service. He was a skilled CNC aircraft machinist who produced commercial and military bearings. Gary had a heart for animals of all kinds, large and small. He enjoyed his pets and the pets of his friends and family. He has had dozens of dogs and cats along with a tarantula, ducks, snakes, raccoons and even a pet crow. He also enjoyed getting tattoos and piercings, attending concerts, and watching Bears football. All are welcome to his visitation Saturday, February 18th from noon to 4 p.m. at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien. For information (630) 852-3595 or www.modelldarien.com.
