Gail Ferrantino Obituary

Gail Alana Ferrantino, (nee Douglass), age 65, of Morris IL, passed away July 17, 2011, at the University of Chicago Medical Center after a brave fight against cancer. She worked as an accounting supervisor at A.C. Nielsen for 20 years, as a sales representative for the family business, Dave's Down to Earth Rock Shop and Prehistoric Museum in Evanston, IL, and as a secretary to her father at an advertising media company in Chicago, IL. Gail earned an A.A. from the College of Lake County (DuPage), a B.A. in Education from the University of Illinois-Chicago, and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Roosevelt University. Friends and family will cherish many fun and thrilling memories with Gail. She dressed for success, riding her Honda motorcycle to work, choosing the Eisenhower Expressway (Congress) as her route after leaving Western Springs to downtown State Street. Immediate family includes, Dennis, her husband of 40 years and best friend; mother June (nee Lyon) Douglass and father Lincoln Eccles Douglass who have both preceded her in death; sister Darrylyn Garrett (Robert, deceased) of Cody, WY, David Douglass (Sandy) of Albuquerque, NM; sister in-law, Joyce Ferrantino-Karlen (Donald) of Wausau, WI, Joseph Ferrantino (Barbara) of Seneca, IL; six nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 West Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris, IL, service will be announced at a later date.
