Although we never met Gail, we know of her through our daughter-in-law, Lisa Fewer Colonna who is married to our son Mark. Lisa always spoke well of her sister and loved to visit her frequently. We are saddened by her death and know that she is doing Gods' work as she did here on earth. We send our deepest sympathy to the family.

Bill and family,

Although we didn't know Gail real well, we have some very special memories of her. We were taking a walk one day as she was inventorying a turtle nest on Seabrook. We stood by watching, fascinated as she worked. There were a couple of turtles that were struggling and hadn't yet made it out of the nest. Gail gently handed us one of the babies and asked us to take it closer to the water. She explained to us how to put water on it, and where to stand to shield the light so that it could make it's way to the ocean. As we watched that small turtle swim away in the ocean, we told ourselves that that one would make it. Because of Gail, we too are now interested in the loggerheads.

The other happy memory I have of Gail, is she told me how she had ordered some incredibly beautiful fortune cookies with personalized messages for her daughter's wedding. I loved her idea so much, that I got the information from her and also ordered some for my son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner. They were a hit! I told Gail that thanks to her, those clever cookies were one of the unexpected surprises of a wonderful evening.

We're very sorry for your sad loss and hope that you'll find some small comfort in these nice memories we've shared about your lovely wife, mom, and grandmother.

God Bless you all.

Gail and I were high school classmates. Years later, my wife also came to know her as a friend. I am sad that we failed to keep a closer connection.
I went back to our high school yearbook and found her message to me. It indicates just how much fun and special she was.
"To the only guy in dance class that goofs me up all the time. No, really Neal, you're a great dancer if you don't mind if I lie. And I hope we're in the same English class again next year, but don't stare so much when I give my reports."
Our thoughts are with the family.

We will miss Gail's low-key, but upbeat, charm and good company. We greatly admired Gail's dedication to her volunteer causes and to her family. There was no more supportive wife, mother and grandmother. We offer our sincerest condolences to Bill and to the whole family. Seabrook will not be the same without Gail.

Mrs. Coughlin was a wonderful person and always had a smile to share. She truly lifted my spirits every time I was around her. My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.

Dear Lydia and family,

I have always admired how you as a family, never let the miles between you, separate you for long. Every time I spoke with Lydia, either Lisa or Gail was in town or coming for a visit soon, and then everyone would see Scott. And that was how it has been for as long I as I can remember.

I hope there will be a time, that those wonderful visits, will give you peace and make you happy.

There are many little turtles who were able to get to the ocean and swim because of Gail.

Rachel and I love you all.
