Frederick Gramse Obituary

FREDERICK MAX GRAMSE Frederick Max Gramse, age 94, of Bonita Springs, Florida, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Formerly of Downers Grove, Illinois, he had been a Bonita resident since 2000. He was born April 20, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Albert and Elise (n?e Rekate) Gramse. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He later went on to own and operate Downers Grove Shade and Floor Covering for over 30 years. Mr. Gramse is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia A. (n?e Diehl) Gramse; his beloved daughters, Judith (Richard) Sheets of Bonita Springs, Florida and Barbara (Dennis) Casey of Chandler, Arizona; cherished grandchildren, Shannon, Danny and Megan; and great grandsons, Shane and Gavin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his twin brother, Roderick Gramse. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 26, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Shikany 's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail South, Bonita Springs. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service. Military Honors will follow. Private burial will take place at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
