Fred G. Siebert, age 85, a 46 year resident of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021 at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 23, 1935 in Downers Grove, IL.
Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Clara J. Siebert (nee Schumacher); his loving children, Deborah (James) Wilson and David (Sheila) Siebert; his cherished grandchildren, Shaina (Chris) Jewell, Brittany (Chris) Moya, Erin (Robert, Jr.) Camacho, Eric Siebert and Matthew Siebert; his adored great-grandchildren, Jackson and Liam Jewell, Eli and Reagan Moya, Robert Camacho, III.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Martha Siebert, and his siblings, Rita, Margaret, Raymond and Wayne.
Fred was a lifelong craftsman and was passionate about expanding his knowledge of how things were made. He enjoyed a career of more than 60 years as a roofer and carpenter and his work is showcased throughout the area. Fred was also proud to work in maintenance at Waubonsie Valley High School, District 204 for 18 years. He also enjoyed cruising the world and seeing all of its wonders. Fred will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Fred's life, memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 4:00-8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A memorial service celebrating Fred's life will be held on Friday, June 11, 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Naperville Cemetery. Uncle Fred was my very special uncle I loved so much!! He was my mamas brother and they were very close until her death in 1977!! Like my Gramma and Grampa he had the sweetest, kindest heart. I have two other sisters as well and we have always lived in South Carolina so he would refer to us as his Carolina girls!! With the miles between us our visits and time spent together were about quality not quantity through the years. I cherished each of them. Aunt Clara and Uncle Fred’s visit to my hometown several years back to Ehrhardt, S.C. as my guests was such a memorable one I will never forget. I could not keep him from wanting to fix little things all around my house. I had to give in and let him do what he does best. God gave him some remarkable talent to build things and the mind to fix anything!!!! A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, son, brother and for me uncle. They did not come any kinder hearted then my Uncle Fred. I will miss you here but am so comforted to know about that beautiful reunion taking place with those you loved that were waiting to welcome you to your eternal home with Jesus! Don’t worry we will look out for your Clara and keep the Siebert legacy alive and growing. We love you Uncle Fred and rest well Gods good and faithful servant!!
