Fred "Jack" Ponstein, age 86, of Downers Grove, IL passed away. Beloved husband of Mary P. (nee Smith) Ponstein; loving father of David (Susan), Dennis (Susan) and James (Denise) Ponstein; cherished grandfather of Chris (Darlene) Ponstein, Debi Trelease, Mike, Jennifer Ponstein and Jake Graffa Ponstein; devoted great-grandfather of Stacey Ponstein, Hope and Anna Trelease; loving son of the late William J. and the late Adele Ponstein; dear brother of the late William Ponstein; brother-in-law of Rita Munzer; fond uncle of Bill (Cassandra) and Ray (Maryann) Ponstein, Shirley (Joe) Norris, Mary (Terry) Baier, also Paul, Mike, Tom, and John (Judy) Cassidy; caring great-uncle of Laura, Dan and Patrick Baier. Mr. Ponstein was a member of the American Legion Post #80 Downers Grove, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1535 Downers Grove, and was active in the 5th Division Marine Corps Reunion.
