Fred Kelly Obituary

Fred A. Kelly, 83, formerly of Gettysburg, died Monday, May 29, 2006, at the Village of Laurel Run. He was the husband of Margaret E. (Bowers) Kelly for 58 years. Born April 22, 1923, in Adams County, he was the son of the late Allen and Carrie (Stair) Kelly. Mr. Kelly served in the Army during WWII. He retired from B&Dl Woodworking of Carroll County, Md. He raised horses, hogs, cattle, and rabbits, and farmed along with his son, Terry. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Judy A. Smith of Gettysburg and Deanna L. Brillhart of Hanover. two sons, Terry Lee Kelly of Littlestown and David A. Kelly of Gettysburg; six granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Helen Sentz. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred Sentz and Jane Kelly. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Little's Funeral Home, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown, with the Rev. William C. Knotts, of Grace Lutheran and St. Luke's Lutheran Churches, officiating. A viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Harney, Md. The Littlestown Allied Veteran Council will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
