Frank Vomacka Obituary

Frank "Mack" Vomacka, 73 years of age, of Riverside. Frank grew up in Cicero and worked at his family's bakery Helen's Bake Shop. He served in the army from 1957 to1959. Frank entered the real estate business in 1964 and his wife Sandy joined him soon after where they have been associated with RE/MAX Partner's for the last 21 years. They became the "Mack Team" in 1991 when their son Frank Jr. joined them. Frank was one of the top producing agents in the country for many years. The keys to his success were his work ethic, concern for and commitment to his clients many of which remain friends to this day. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and he shared the love of the outdoors with his friends and family. Those who knew and loved him will always remember his wonderful stories. He is survived by his wife Sandy, son Frank (Jessica), daughter Linda (Thomas) Cervenka and the late Karen Vomacka; dearest grandfather of Caitlin and Tommy Cervenka, Jack and Grace Vomacka; fond brother of Marilyn (Norbert) Kluczynski; dear brother-in- law of Robert (Karen) Lifka, Donald (Patricia) Schultz, Richard (Dorothy) Schultz and Adrienne (late Robert) Lancsak; and uncle of many. Funeral services Wednesday, March 19, 11 a.m. at Ivins Funeral Home, 80 E. Burlington St., Riverside. Interment Woodlawn.

Frank loved his wife and and kids and grandkids and everyone in his extended family. If you were part of this large family group, Frank always greeted you warmly, listened to everyone, offered help in so many ways. We were fortunate when our son married his daughter in that we became part of his family. We will miss his smile, his kind words, his helping hand, his laugh, and his warm heart. We hope the fish are biting wherever he is.

Dear Frank - Thanks for your friendship these past thirteen years. I will miss your wonderful stories - there were so many and you never told the same one twice. Your life was a full one and you have accomplished so much. Your family is blessed in that they have an abundance of wonderful memories that will be with them always. We know that you will watch over Sandy, and the rest of that wonderful family of yours. Thank you Frank and God Bless you!

Frank was not my real father but like many men and women in real estate we always had a work father and he was that person to us. He had seen so many situations in this business he was always ready to share them with us. He found a profession that he loved and had passion for. He once told me that he never worked a day in his life because he loved this business. After talking to him he made me feel the same way. Weather or not he realized it or not, all those nites he worked late in the nite I was there too.. listining and hanging on to every word of wisdom he threw out. I know I speak for most in his office that we all loved him and will mis him. I heard every story this man told for the last 15 years and remembered every one. I never would tell him that he told this one to me before, because I loved to hear it again and again. I have heard them all and will never forget them. So Frankie and the grandkids if you ever forget them just give me a call and I will tell them all again, because they are engraved in my mind. I hope this site has spell check. If it does not I apologise.

Frank Mack I love you with all my heart. You treated me like a son, and although my father has also past, I know he thanks you too.

I have known Frank (and Sandy) since I was a small child and used to stop in the bakery to get a free cookie on my way home from school. I will never forget the support and love Frank and Sandy gave me as I was growing up in the neighborhood and as a babysitter for their children. He will be missed. Much love, Marie
