Frank Boatwright Obituary

Frank P. Boatwright, 70, of Dixon, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Rush-Copley Medical Center, Aurora, IL. He worked for Electro-Motive in LaGrange, IL, retiring in 1990. He then continued his career with Peaker Services in Brighton, MI. Mr. Boatwright was born June 8, 1937, in Faribault, MN, the son of John and Mabel (Johnson) Boatwright. He married Carol Ann Hercules on June 23, 1962, in Park Forest, IL. She preceded him in death on October 20, 2006. Frank was a member of the Jaguar Club of America. His pleasures included spending time with his children and dogs, restoring his cars, and woodworking. He is survived by two sons, Michael P. Boatwright of Dixon, Andrew S. (Kathryn) Boatwright of Aurora; one brother, John (Barbara) Boatwright of Hopkinton, N.H.; and one granddaughter, Christina Boatwright of Big Rock. Frank was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy T. Boatwright. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon with the Rev. James Harbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Grand Detour Cemetery, Grand Detour, IL. Visitation will be from noon until time of service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
