Frances Vogt Obituary

Frances M. Vogt, 90, long-time resident of Lyons, passed away March 14, 2011. She was a homemaker, and together with her husband co-owned and managed Lyons Poultry and Egg Company on Prescott Avenue in Lyons. Frances was born on February 17, 1921 to Joseph C. and Anna (Pichlik) Blazek in Cicero, Illinois. She was a member of the Brookfield Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is survived by her loving children Dyann (Kit) Kimes, Mark (Lucy) Vogt, and Paul (Valerie) Vogt; her dear grandchildren Jennifer (John) Lester, Jason (Barbara) Kimes, Sarah Kimes, Vicki Rousis, Krystal and Heather Vogt, and Michael Vogt; and great-grandson Andrew Kimes. Frances was the dear sister-in-law of Mae Blazek and Jeannine (Nick) Vrdoljak, fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews, and special cousin of Grayce McCarten and Raymond Vogt. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband Hugo "Sonny" R. Vogt, parents Joseph C. and Anna Blazek, brother Joseph E. Blazek, and sisters Evelyn (the late Frank) Wenckowski, and Vivian (the late John) Kirkolis. Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Pepper Family Hospice Home and Center for Care, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, Illinois 60010. Arrangements were made by DuPage Cremations, Ltd.
