Ferruccio Mongiat Obituary

Ferruccio James Mongiat, 94, a North Riverside resident since 1948, passed away February 18, 2008. Ferruccio was born September 14, 1913. He retired as a Registered Nurse and Supervisor of the G.U. Clinic at Hines V.A. Hospital after 35 years. He served in the Army during WWII and was stationed primarily in Paris. He was a member of the Holy Name Society at Mater Christi Church and was especially proud of all of his grandchildrens achievements. Visitation Sunday, February 24, from 2-8pm at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. Des Plaines Ave., North Riverside. Funeral Monday February 25, 9am prayers at the funeral home followed by Mass at Mater Christi Church. Interment Quuen of Heaven Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor, nee Konefal; 2 sons, James (Crystie) Mongiat and David (Susan) Mongiat; 3 grandchildren, James (Samantha), Geoffrey and Sarah Mongiat; sister, Olga (Gino) Bigi. He is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Evelyn nee Zucal and sister Mary (the late Oni) Sundquist. Memorials to the American Heart Assn., 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, 60674, would be appreciated.
