Ferdinand Carlsted Obituary

Carlsted - Ferdinand A., age 85, of Chisago City, died July 19th, 2002. Ferdinand was born on his grandparent's farm near Dassel, MN on Sept. 2, 1916. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edith; brothers, Luverne and Lowell; sisters, Harriet and Ruth Jenson; and son Richard Carlsted. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Chestine; daughter, Jan (Dennis) Elsberry of Plymouth; sons, Bruce (Kathy) Carlsted, Douglas Carlsted of Taylors Falls; grandchildren, Anika & Kristofer Carlsted, Onallee & Shona Elsberry; great-granddaughter, Monica; sister, Marion Rossi of San Diego; brothers, Roy (Nathalie) of St. Paul, Adolph (Mary Gail) of Bloomington, John (Judy) of St. Cloud; brother-in-law, Dr. James Jenson of Stillwater; sister-in-law, Janet Carlsted of Mpls.; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ferd grew up in Dassel, MN, graduated in 1935, attended the Dunwoody Institute, was in the armed service from 1942-45, lived in Benson, MN from 1945 until moving to the Lindstrom area in 1953. He was a member of the St. Paul Electrical Union #110. Family will greet friends at 10 AM Sat., July 27th at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. There will be a Memorial service following at 11:30 AM. Private Interment. Memorials preferred. 651-257-4000.
