F. Kopis Obituary
F. Jan Kopis, age 73, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016.
Beloved husband of Lois ( Wehrmann ) Kopis; loving father of Kelly (Todd) Swikle and Casey (Craig) Tome; cherished grandfather of Claire, Kevin, Carter, Griffin, Mary and Sean. Dear brother of Maralee Kopis and the late Donald Kopis; also brother to Jon (Liz) Katz and Wendy Katz; Fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
Jan was a lifelong Downers Grove resident, a Local Real Estate Broker, Member and Board of Director Emeritus with the Downers Grove Chamber of Commerce, Park Board Commissioner and former President, Downers Grove Village Council Commissioner, Board member of the Grove Foundation, Commissioner for the Village of Downers Grove and an avid inline skater.
A Memorial visitation will take place Thursday December 1, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Toon Funeral Home 4920 Main Street Downers Grove, IL 60515. A Memorial Mass will take place Friday December 2, 2016 at St Joseph Catholic Church Downers Grove 10 am.
