Evelyn Wedeman Obituary

Evelyn Mae Wedeman, 94 of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 10, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Herbert W. Wedeman and three daughters, Carol Anne Gottenborg, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; Laurna Mae (Brian) Thomas, Columbiana, Alabama and Johanna Sue (Lawrence) Mosher, Wilsonville, Alabama. She will be missed by her fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Albert Rosheck and their son, Lawrence Albert Rosheck, Jr. Evelyn was born on August 31, 1916 in South Bend, Indiana to William Brown and Edith (Renfranz) Beecher. She received her education in South Bend. She was married to Lawrence Albert Rosheck in South Bend. They moved to Downers Grove with their four children. Sunbeam Roofing Company was owned and operated by Herbert and Evelyn for many years in Downers Grove, Illinois. Evelyn was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Evelyn's life and spirit was centered and grounded in her faith in Christ. Her life gave witness to that faith throughout her lifetime. She was an avid letter writer and was a blessing to all whose lives she touched. Her years of service as a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital filled her later years with happiness and purpose. She moved to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, where she lived with her daughter Carol Gottenborg until her homecoming. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Audubon, Minnesota.
