Evelyn Krum, 80, of Holtville passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011.
She was born May 16, 1931 in Holtville and married Philip J. Krum Sr. on April 29, 1949 in Calexico, CA. Mrs. Krum grew up in Imperial Valley. She and her husband later moved to Lakeside, CA where she operated a beauty salon. Approximately twenty years ago, after her husband retired as a sheet metal worker, they moved back to the Valley taking up residence near Holtville. Mrs. Krum was a long standing member of the Holtivlle united Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joseph and Hazel Guidotti; sister Dorothy Giblin; brother Marvin Guidotti.
She is survived by her husband, Philip J. Krum Sr.; son, Philip J. Krum Jr.; daughter, Kathleen K. Peterson; sister, Betty Goddard; grandchildren, Joseph Kern, Jacob Kern, Amy Worley, Cindy Salling, Stacie Dominguez and Tracie Krum; Seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 10 a.m. at United Methodist Church 225 W. 7th in Holtville. Burial will immediately follow at 201 E. Gillett Rd. in El Centro
