Evelyn Krolik Obituary

Evelyn M. Krolik, 86, of Chesterton, IN, passed away December 6, 2008 in her home. She was a born on April 19, 1922 in Chicago, IL to the late Robert and Stella (nee Rulich) Niksich. Mrs. Krolik was a graduate of Bowan High School, in Chicago, IL. She was married in Chicago, IL on August 31, 1944 to Stanley Krolik, who preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. Krolik was a resident of Chesterton, IN since 2002, having moved from Lemont, IL. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Krolik was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. Mrs. Krolik is survived by her 3 children, Thomas "Rick" (Vicki) Krolik of Chesterton, Indiana, Judy (James) Patronagio, of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Mark (Gayle) Krolik, of Plainfield, Illinois; 8 grandchildren, Kristen Cavanaugh, Eric Krolik, Craig Krolik, Jill Patronagio, Terri Patronagio, David Patronagio, Joshua Krolik, and Chase Krolik; 3 great-grandchildren, Madelyn Cavanaugh, Patrick Cavanaugh and Hannah Krolik; and sister, Ann (Rudy) Jadrich, of Chicago, IL. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband; parents; her son, Robert Krolik; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 11:00 a.m. from St. Patrick Catholic Church, 648 N. Calumet Road, with Fr. James Meade officiating. Burial will take place Thursday, December 11th, 10 a.m. at SS Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, Lemont, IL. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 9th, from 3-8 p.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to St. Agnes Adult Day Center, Valparaiso, IN.
