Evangeline Svejcar Obituary

EVANGELINE M. SVEJCAR Evangeline M. Svejcar (nee Donovan), age 91, passed away peacefully at home in Junction City, with her family on Sept. 22, 2013. Evangeline trained as a registered nurse with the United States Cadet Nurse Corps at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Aurora. She married John F. Svejcar in Crystal Lake in 1948. John and her parents, Raymond and Mary Donovan, preceded her in death. A nurse, small business owner and loving mother, she is survived by her six sons, John, Jeffrey, Frank, Michael, Will and Thomas, and her four daughters, Mary Lou Svejcar, Margaret "Peggy " Henson, Bonnie Svejcar and Maureer Barrie. Evangeline is also survived by six grandchildren and her loving sisters, Rosemary Azzaro of Sun City, Arizona and Rita Donovan of Redwood City, California. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor "Sr. Paula " Donovan and her brother, Harold Donovan. A funeral Mass was held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Eugene, Oregon, on October 1, 2013. A private family burial took place at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Eugene. Arrangements were entrusted to Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home.
