Eugene J. Filipowski, 87, formerly of Cicero. At rest Sunday, June 8, 2008. Eugene served in the army during WWII. Beloved husband of the late Genevieve nee Ochal; loving father of Steven (Karen nee Yoder) Filipowski; adored grandfather of Nicholas Eugene and Jason William Filipowski. Preceded in death by his sisters Rose-Marie Zeglen, Frances Bassak and brother Edward. A visitation was Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park. Mass 10am Wednesday, June 11 at Holy Cross Church, 724 Elder Lane, Deerfield, IL. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
