Ernesto O. Languido, M.D., retired longtime Physician at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park. He was born May 24, 1944, in the Philippines and passed away August 14, 2015, surrounded by those he loved.
"Ernie" was known to his colleagues, nurses and patients as a compassionate, caring physician. He was a deeply devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who took great pride in his family and doted on his grandchildren. As the oldest of eleven children, he provided the foundation for each of his brothers and sisters to build upon. His love and loyalty was boundless. He was an avid golfer who always kept a set of clubs in his car, ready for the next round. He enjoyed nature walks and always took the road less traveled, as in life, imperfect and untested, but it has made all the difference.
Ernesto is survived by his wife, Christina nee O'Neill. Loving father of Darah (Alejandro Mendoza) Languido, Lauren (Christian Constante) Languido and Catherine Languido. Proud grandfather of Gabriella and Isabella Mendoza. Cherished son of Laura Ochoa (the late Felipe) Languido. Dear son in law of Patricia D. (the late Edward F.) O'Neill. Fond brother of Esperanza Reeves, Emmanuel (Jocelyn), Ester Kostic, Felipe Jr (Alith), Eduardo (Melinda), Erlinda (Darwin) Judd, Eloisa (Benjamin) Glinoga, Maria Eden (Bernard) Quibilan, Elmo (Mary Jane) and the late Edmundo (Babylyn) Languido, Brother in law of Patricia Ricciarelli, Sean and Brian O'Neill, Roberta Moffett and John Foust. Special uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral 9:O0 a.m. Friday, from RICHARD J. MODELL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES 12641 W, 143RD ST, HOMER GLEN, to SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Lemont for mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment private. Visitation Thursday, 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.

I've never encounter a person more genuine than Dr. Languido. From the day that I met him, he was caring and compassionate. When I loss my son in 2005, he personally contacted me to offer his condolences. He has been my doctor for over fifteen years. And now it's hard to find someone to fill his shoes. To his family may God's comfort swallow you in the hallow of his bossom.

We are sorry to hear of his passing away. Dr. Ernie was high school classmate at Roosevelt Memorial in the Philippines. I learned Fr another classmate here in California that he resides in Chicago and was able to talk to him then. He will certainly be miased. Our prayers will always be with him and his family.
