Ernest Voyles Services for Ernest Voyles, 86, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Manuel Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in Plain­view Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Voyles died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, in Plainview. He was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Winona, Mo., to Preston Thomas and Matilda Jane Broadfoot Voyles. He moved to Plainview in 1943 and married Nora Pearl Clayton on Sept. 3, 1944. Survivors include his children, Richard Voyles, Jack Voyles, Jimmy Voyles, Gloria Alston and Tracy Voyles, all of Plainview, David Voyles of Amarillo, Mark Voyles of Arcadia, Okla., and Kenneth Voyles of Portland, Texas; his siblings, Lloyd Voyles of Redondo Beach, Calif., Paul Voyles, Mary Harris and Sammy Voyles, all of Plainview, and Lucille Henderson of Lubbock; 30 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. His wife; his parents; a son, Roger Voyles; and a sister, Daisy Wood, are deceased. Memorial contributions may be made to First Assembly of God, 1300 N. I-27, Plain­view, TX 79072.
