Elwyn Seifert Obituary

Elwyn Donald Seifert, 87, a 2-1/2 year Indian Head Park, former 28- year resident of Atlanta, Georgia and 28-year La-Grange, IL, resident, passed away March 30, 2008 at Lexington Healthcare Center in LaGrange. Elwyn was born April 20, 1920 in Kewanee, IL. He graduated from Knox College. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp in the South Pacific during WWII. Elwyn was a sales representative for a gold stamping company before retiring. He was a founding member of St. Cletus Church in LaGrange and past President of its Holy Name Society. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Hallowell and James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, from 3-9 p.m. Mass Thursday, April 3, 2008 11:00 a.m. at St. Cletus Church in LaGrange, following prayers at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. Elwyn is survived by his wife, Mary Rose nee Dernbach; Children, Diane Hill of Indian Head Park, IL, William (Cynthia) of Hoffman Estates, IL and Julie (Timothy) Kerrigan of Chicago, IL; Grandchildren, Andrea Hill, Stephanie Hill, Derek Seifert and Claire Seifert; Brother Eldon (Helen) Seifert, Jr. of Rockville, MD and several nieces and nephews.
