Hi Bob,
I was very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Oddly, I think of her every Thanksgiving because I have a recipe card that she must have given my mother 40-45 years ago. It is for a spinach casserole and calls for lots of the ingredients that were popular in the 50's. High in taste (and high in fat!), it is one of my family's favorites!
As you've no doubt heard, a group of us from NVRHS are getting together every few months at Cathy's restaurant. If your plans ever permit you to be in our area, do give me a call (732)739-1315. I'd love to see you.
Warmly,
Liz (Tobin) Mueller

Dear Bob, A few class of '65 members got together at Cathy Dunn Luby's restaurant yesterday. Sue Abbate said that she had read your Mom's obituary in the newspaper. I just wanted to express my heartfelt sympathy at this difficult time. I have a very vivid picture of your mother, and your house in Haworth. We had a wonderful childhood and I have always felt blessed to have lived in such a warm community. My Mom still lives on Lake Shore Drive and so I go back often. She is up with me for a few days, and I regret that I am unable to attend your mother's funeral. Cathy told us that you are at Notre Dame, one of my son's best friends from high school graduated last year and is now at New York Medical School, perhaps you had him as a student. His name is Dan Morilla and he is truly one of the nicest young men I know. He will be a wonderful doctor one day. If you are ever to be in this area and have a few hours to spare, please let me know, I'd love to meet up with you. To update you on my life since '65: I graduated from Villanova University with a BS in Nursing, married someone I dated while at VU. We have been married 32 years and have 2 children.Alison is 27 and lives at home with us. She has special needs and works in the cafeteria at a local elementary school. She does very well and benefited from her years of special education and vocational training. Michael is 22 and a graduated in May from Villanova with a Bachelor in Mechanical engineering. He is currently working a temporary job while seeking permanent employment in this difficult job market. We live about an hour and 10 minutes from Haworth near West Point. Montgomery is a bit like Haworth was when we grew up, very small, and very friendly.
Again, I want to extend my sympathy, it is never easy to lose a parent, no matter the age. I wish you well and hope that we can keep in touch. All the best, Mary Ann
