Elsie Cengr Obituary

Mrs. Elsie Rose Cengr, 94, of Oak Park, formerly of Cicero passed away at Loyola Hospital on July 8, 2008. Visitation Monday, July 14, from 2-8 p.m at Svec & Sons Funeral Home, 6227 West Cermak Rd., Berwyn, IL where the funeral will be held Tuesday, July 15, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Mrs. Cengr was a retired secretary from Navel Supply Officers at Navel Ordinance for 23 years. She retired in 1970. In 1968, she was honored as Federal Employee of the year. She also managed the former Horacek Dress Shop in Oak Park for 35 years. Mrs. Cengr was the past Worthy Matron of the Prairie State Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Emil R. Cengr. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rose Horacek. Arrangements by Svec & Sons Funeral Home. (708) 484-2050
