Elsie Boyd Obituary

Elsie R. Boyd, 105, of Glen Ellyn, passed away August 4, 2008. Elsie was born June 24, 1903 in Chicago, IL. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn and the Glen Ellyn Women's Club. Elsie is survived by her children Cary J. III (Katie) and Edie (Tom) Johnston; grandchildren, Karen (Terry) Sapsford, Jan (Marc) McMorris, Beth (Scott) Stephenson, Tom (Cassandra) Johnston, Julie Johnston and Christie Boyd; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Sara and Eric Sapsford, David, Katie, John and Paul McMorris, Peter, Emma, Abby, Claire and Becky Johnston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cary J. Jr. and daughter Susan (Bob) Nowak. Funeral service Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 424 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn, IL. Visitation at church prior to service at 10:30 AM. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn Scholarship Fund appreciated.
