Ella Mae Bragg Boyer Born: Sept. 26, 1920; in Columbus, OH Died: Feb. 18, 2014; in Canal Winchester, OH Ella Mae Bragg Boyer of Canal Winchester was born September 26, 1920, in Columbus, Ohio, and passed away February 18, 2014. Her beloved husband, Glen Lawrence Boyer of 47 years, joined her in eternity on February 28, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents Mabel and William Bragg, sisters Helen Bragg (Ralph) Fleming, Marjorie Bragg (Ed) Meyers, brothers Frank (Thelma) Bragg, Lee (Betty) Bragg and William (Betty) Bragg. She is survived by her daughters Phyllis Huffman (David) Ludwig of Glen Ellyn, IL.; Anne Huffman (Jim) Nedolast of New Washington, Ohio; stepson David (Vicki) Boyer; grandchildren Jeffrey (Laura) Ludwig, Michael (Connie) Ludwig, Amy Ludwig (Reece) Chambers, Jean Nedolast (Rusty) Duncan, Diane Nedolast (Mark) Browning, Lisa Nedolast, Sarah Nedolast (Jeff) Frazier, Julie Nedolast (Jamie) Bierce plus 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, as well as many nieces and nephews. Step son David (Vicki) Boyer, step-grandsons Shawn, Wayne, David D., and step-great-grandson Wayne Boyer. Ella was born and raised in Clintonville and moved to the Boyer farm in Canal Winchester in 1966, when she and Glen married. She enjoyed 47 years of small-town country living, tending big gardens, canning the harvest, and sharing their home with family and friends. She was an active member of Peace United Methodist Church, Pickerington Senior Center, Pickerington Garden Club, and the Violet Township Historical Society. She was a volunteer at Mt. Carmel East Hospital for 23 years. A Celebration of Life Service for Glen and Ella will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Peace United Methodist Church at 235 Diley Road N., Pickerington, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boyer Memorial Fund at Peace United Methodist Church.
