Elizabeth Tuscher Obituary

Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Tuscher (nee Whalen), age 90, of Glen Ellyn for 2 years, formerly of Oak Brook for 40 years, passed away Monday, January 26, 2009 at her home. Elizabeth was born October 22, 1918 in St. Paul, MN. She was a graduate of Oak Park/River Forest High School, was a volunteer during WWII and a proud supporter of the family business, Tuscher Roofing Co. She was an honorary lifetime member of the Oak Brook Infant Welfare and the Oak Brook Womens Club, and a benevolent supporter of many charities, bowler and avid bridge player. Elizabeth had the priviledge of attending the inauguration of President George H.W. Bush. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Robert J.; loving children, Thomas (Janet), Robert "Bob" J. Tuscher; and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Jeffery) Tuscher-Baker; Dear grandchildren Jason (Sarah), Seth (Ryan) and Eric and Ethan Baker & great-grandchild Marin Tuscher. Fond sister of Barbara (John) Nevins. Elizabeth was preceded by her brother Robert Whalen and sister Phyllis Whalen-Bunn. Visitation Sunday, February 1, 2009 from 1-4pm at Leonard Memorial Home 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn, where her funeral service will be on Monday at 10am with Chaplain Ron Yurcus Officiating.
