She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 31, 1916 and moved with her family to Chicago, Illinois, when she was 6 years old. She was a lifelong volunteer for many organizations, including the Seattle Repertory Theater. She and Jerry enjoyed traveling the world, but scheduled their trips around Mariners homestands, as they were season-ticket holders. She was preceded in death by Jerry, her older sister Emily (Waldman), and twin brother Robert. She is survived by her sister Margery (Blumberg), son Nathan, daughters Ellen (Jerry Kinsel) and Susan (Alan Gordon), 4 granddaughters, and 3 great-grandchildren.
