Elizabeth Folchetti Obituary
Apex
Elizabeth Jane Folchetti, 76, of Apex, NC, died on October 30, 2012. Elizabeth was born in Tilly Foster, NY on August 16, 1936 to Daniel and Bridget Kennedy Stokes.
As a child, Elizabeth graduated from St. Laurence O'Toole in Brewster, NY in 1950 and then continued on to graduate High School from St. Mary's in Katonah, NY in 1954. Because of her desire to care for others, she enrolled in the Misericordia Nursing School and graduated in 1957. Elizabeth then began her career as a Registered Nurse with Northwestern Hospital in Mt. Kisco, NY.
On May 7, 1960, Elizabeth was wed to the love of her life, the late Angelo Folchetti in the Church of St. Lawrence O'Toole in Brewster, NY.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Mary, Eileen, Anne, and Angela; son, Joseph; six grandchildren; sisters, Frances J. Smith of Carmel, NY, and Anna Murphy of Spring Hill, FL, and many nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex, with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth Folchetti's name to The American Lung Association National Headquarters, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
