Elizabeth Brummel Obituary

Elizabeth M. Brummel, nee Tinnes. Elizabeth "Betty" Brummel, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2010 at St Patrick's Residence in Naperville. Elizabeth M. (Tinnes) Brummel was the much loved daughter of the late John and Margaret (Armbrust) Tinnes, and after the death of her mother, Mary (Baier) Tinnes; the beloved wife of the late Frank J Brummel, cherished mother of Margaret (Sr Marietta IBVM), the late Joyce (Thomas) Reising, Nancy (Thomas) Doran, the late Mary Louise, Joan (Chester) Wiczek, and David; the loving grandmother of Steve (Jean) Reising, Janice (John) Petersen, Debra (Joseph) Marovich, Theresa (Fred) Shoaff, the late Julieann, Laura (Mick) Gaughan, Linda Doran, Carol (Brett) Anno, Thomas (Martha) Wiczek, Barbara Wiczek, and great-grandmother of Joyce, Michael, Amanda, Megan, Stephanie, Joseph, Melissa, Fred, Sara, Andrew, Michael, Matthew, Johnathon, Larrisa and Kyle, as well as, many nieces, nephews and friends. A graduate of St Mary's School in West Chicago and Mount St Marys on the Fox ('36) she had been employed at the Americana Nursing home for 25 years, and was a long time member of SS Peter and Paul, and later, St Raphael Parishes in Naperville where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters, scout leader, sacristan and food pantry worker. Appreciative thanks to the Sisters and staff of St Patrick's Residence, her home for six years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St Patrick's Residence, 1400 Brookdale Road, Naperville IL or to The Office of Development-IBVM Sisters, Box 508, Wheaton IL 60187. Visitation will be Thursday, March 11, 4:00 until 8:00 pm at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S Mill Street, Naperville and Friday, March 12, 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Chapel at St Patrick's Residence, 1400 Brookdale Road, Naperville.
