Eliazabeth Neu Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Neu, nee Mantzke, age 89, of Lombard and formerly Glen Ellyn passed away on August 4, 2012. She was born in Sparta, WI. Preceded in death by her husband Frank, Betty is survived by her 4 children Michael (Luann) of Las Vegas, NV, Marguerite (the late Frank) Buckingham of Palos Heights, IL, Edward (Marihelen) of Midlothian, IL, and Mary (Thom) Rabaglia of Lodi, WI; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters (Vernietta Horne and Eunice Goronja) and a brother (the late Earl Mantzke); and a wonderful circle of friends. She loved her time at Beacon Hill, helping with social events, the Pantry, and the Marketing Committee, and playing cards and dining with her friends. She filled her life with music, singing in church choirs; she played the piano; and she loved to dance. There will be a celebration of Betty's life on Sunday, August 26, 2012, the date of her 90th birthday, at 1:00 p.m. in the Van Buren room at Beacon Hill, 2600 S. Finley Rd, 4th floor, Lombard, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Morton Arboretum Development Dept. at 4100 Il Rte. 53, Lisle, IL 60532 or Beacon Hill Lifespace Foundation at 2400 S. Finley Rd., Lombard, IL 60148.
