Eleanor Ewers Obituary

Eleanor E. Ewers
age 88, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010. She was born Dec. 12, 1922 in Rochester, Pa. to the late Passie and Margaret Erizer. Eleanor was an RN and had worked many years for the Canton Board of Education as a school nurse. Eleanor was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer E. Ewers in 2001 and one grandchild.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Lee Pugh of Virginia; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Susan Ewers of Westfield, Ohio; three sisters, Margaret McVay, June Glass, both of Pennsylvania, Jean Buckenheimer of Florida; three grandchildren, Scott Ewers, Tricia Meredith and Matthew Pugh; eight great-grandchildren, Griffin, Alyssa and Cailyn Ewers, Kylee, Zachary and Ashley Meredith, Madison and Sydney Pugh.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Dr. Larry Hinkle officiating. Calling hours will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Garden, Canton, Ohio.

Gary Debbie & Family,
We have many fond memories of Eleanor.Our fun doing church work together, having Sundy lunches & the hugs she always wanted from John.Our many visits at her apartment.We will miss this soft spoken & gracious lady.

Eleanor was like a second mother to me. I will certainly miss her warm and tender spirit. May God give you all support and peace during this special season. His son came so Eleanor could choose Heaven as her home. She is there now rejoicing at the throne of God.
