Died: April 29, 2018; in McHenry, IL
Elaine D. Reagan, 90, born July 5, 1927 and passed away peacefully Sunday, April 29, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill Reagan; as well as her parents, Henry and Agnes Probst; her sisters, Marge Pinigis, Jayne Burke and Betty Kamer.
She is survived by one sister, Carole Allen of Kenosha, WI. She is also survived by daughters, MaryEllen (Allan) Ackroyd of Waterford, Michigan, Patti Reagan of Littleton, Colorado, Kathy (Gordon) Quick of McHenry, Illinois and Kelly (Steve) Robery of Franklin Grove, Illinois. Grandchildren include Megan Ackroyd and Collin Quick; as well as great grandson, Reed Ackroyd.
Her unwavering faith in God was most important in her life. She devoted her life to her family. Prior to becoming a mom, she worked as a beautician. Later she volunteered at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, as well as delivering Meals on Wheels.
In addition to her family, she had several special people in her life during her later years, including Nicole Fiorenzo and Val Hobson. They are proof that family is not limited to those related by blood.
She had a big heart, and was incredibly generous. She never met a stranger. Her compassionate heart will be missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1:00pm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 3500 Washington St., McHenry.

Remembering your dear Mom and how much she loved you all and loved life. Her beautiful blue eyes were piecing as she begged you to lean in a little closer to tell a story. I had the privilege of meeting your Mother during her stay at Fox Point. What a truly kind and wonderful person. She always greeted me with her warm and special smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Kathy, Kelly, Patti, Maryellen and family - The loss of Elaine to us here on earth is SO difficult but the gain to her and those in heaven is immense. She touched every person she met, she loved with her whole heart and she cared always for others. Her faith was strong matched only by her love of family and friends. May God give you comfort in the days ahead as you work through losing her. May strength be gained by the years of memories you hold in your heart as well as the relief you feel knowing she is now back with Bill. Sincere thanks for sharing her with me and my family for all these years. She was a most precious gift to us all and each day I live she will be in my heart and my thoughts. RIP Sweet Elaine !!!
