The first of the sibling seven to pass is a very difficult thing. I have wonderful memories of my dear uncle Ed. Many childhood summers were spent driving down the coast to see Ed and his wonderful family. Discovering how good ripe avacodos are when picked right off the tree, swimming in the neighbors unheated pool and freezing when they were in Frezno, then swimming in the Concord home pool and loving it! Touring San Fransisco in the 70's and being astonished at how many women went braless, needless to say they sure caught the attention of Ed and my father, Jim! Enjoying the smell of old oak barrels while touring the wineries of Napa and Sonoma counties and being impressed with Ed's cache' of wine, (Don't dust the bottles!), in which I am still impressed! Going to my first 'disco' in 78 with Cindy after a day in the sun where I burned to a crisp. Then at family reunions more recently talking politics and discussing a good book like Memoirs of a Geisha. I'm so glad we had a chance to visit Ed and Pat last summer (08). Who would have known it would be our last. Our thoughts and prayers extend to Pat, Jeff and Janae, Cindy and Bob as well as all of Ed and Pat's tribe of granddaughters! We love you all!
