Edward Steffy Obituary

Edward Cyle Steffy Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2016, in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
Edward was the only child of Gladys Beatrice Newbill and Edward Cyle Steffy Sr., born in Tulsa Oklahoma on December 20, 1931, later from Oak Park. Edward was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Anna Louise Ratcliff (Long) who died on March 2, 2009. He was a member of the Batavia Masonic Lodge #404, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in the Valley of Chicago and Medinah Shriners.
Edward is survived by his children, Edward Christopher Steffy of Batavia, IL, Christy (Christopher) Verity of Brookfield, IL, Ruth (David) Upham of Batavia, IL; five grandchildren, Cyle, and Conner Verity, Caitlin Routh, Casey and Nate Upham; and great grandchild, Jack William Routh.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016, at the Batavia Masonic Lodge, 28 N. Van Nortwick Ave. Batavia, IL at 1:00 pm, with a Masonic service at 2:00 pm, followed by light refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation JDRF or Alzheimer's Dementia Research.

Ed has been heavy on my mind..tried to call...and felt something was wrong..googled and found obituary...so sorry for your loss! Lots of wonderful memmories with Ed and Annie! Last visit with Ed was memorable! He loved you kids dearly! Rick and Niki Teague!
